Major DP Singh is a retired officer of the Indian Army, He is a Kargil War veteran and is known as India's first blade runner. After his amputation, he gradually started running using a prosthetic limb and has run in 21 marathons in his running career.
Challenge
The biggest challenge while designing the website was the time, as it was to be launched while he celebrated his “Death Anniversary” in Kargil on 15th July. Also, doing justice to what he has achieved in his life owing to his resilience was not an easy task. But, by working closely with him and accompanying him in the most difficult of terrains like Kargil, we were able to have a better understanding of his expectations and made sure that every aspect of his personality is well taken care of.
Our Role
Major DP Singh is a Kargil War Veteran who was grievously injured during the war resulting in the loss of his leg. But he did not let his disability affect him. He went on to become India’s first amputee marathon runner, a Limca (infact, multiple) record holder and a motivational speaker. His life story is an inspiration to many. To ensure that more and more people connect with him and his journey, we were to provide our services of Celebrity Management to him. Also, to make it easier for the people to know him better, a website was to be created, updated with all the recent happenings in his life.
Solution
Bigrox team met Major DP Singh to understand all his requirements. We were highly impressed by his dynamic personality and tremendous love for and commitment towards the nation. We designed a website brought to the screen the huge amount of optimism, this braveheart exudes. The website has videos of his talks, media coverage, the events that he attends and his story in his motivational words. The website also reflects his latest social media updates on the home page.
Our team also designed a logo for his website comprising of the initials of his name. Apart from the website and the logo, we also handled his social media accounts and got them updated regularly. Our team accompanied him to the Kargil International Marathon and various other events as well for digital media coverage.
